Awesome place, and one of the hottest servers on the island works there!!!

No menu or anything but if you want true islands homemade cooked style food this is the spot! Menu is around 4 items for the entrees and that’s about what the menu looks like but good stuff for sure and portions are hefty as well. Same prices as eating in a regular restaurant but hole in the wall atmosphere 🤷🏻‍♂️🤔 would i go again? Prob nah

The food was great. It was nice having different options other than burgers and fries and wings which is what most restaurants around serve. The hospitality was great. Excellent service by the two lovely Dominican ladies. Felt like we were at an aunts house ☺️ after having a hard time getting a taxi one of the workers gave us a ride. Super super helpful and thankful for that!

We come to St Thomas a lot from florida. Aside from the Exumas it’s my favorite place, this trip, not so much. Maybe because of our situation maybe not.... we’ve been to brooks several time and have noticed service was taking a dive. First experience here: exceptional: seconded experience:really good... etc. as we were hoping for better service we got a lady that never even made eye contact! Felt very weird, she never served all our food, our beans for ‘rice and beans’ sat on counter for 20 minutes and she finally served cold. I don’t know I’m super confused, love the food but borderline not worth it because of the growing worse service....

Very local, very simple, outdoor. But tasty and cheap. No menu, no receipts. Dinner for 2 cost $30. Very big plates. Personnel is bilingual. Try local drink - bright red juice from local farms. Not sure about its name but they said it's very good for heart and blood.

Overpriced...overrated. Local food but very cheaply portioned, and served...one fish w some broccoli is 28$ and u feel you eat in a garage..

MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!! This is the most amazing food I have ever tasted in my life! The Ox Tail is EXCELLENT! They only make it on Wednesdays and Saturdays so I made sure to book my vacation to be able to go BOTH of those days! I literally made my husband take me 4 days of the 7 we were there. The ladys that run this are so sweet and make sure you are satisfied, portions are big and I can not express enough how great the food is! Highly Highly satisfied and recommend!

If you want fresh local food this is the place to go. Very nice place with a local atmosphere, the fish was fresh caught and very helping amount for the 2 of us, rice, beans, plantain, and broccoli was included with the meal. Everything was delicious, highly recommend coming here.

The food was pretty good here however I do not think the service was good. Not very friendly unless your a usual local. I felt a bit lost when I got there as I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to seat myself, I didn’t know where to order or if they came to the tables to take our order and everyone who worked there that I asked seemed annoyed at me. So again 3 stars for decent food but bad service. Also, it’s only cash, which I didn’t know so we had to walk in the pitch dark to a hotel atm to pay for our food that had already been ordered.

Best stew pork I've ever had and the salmon it definitely in the top 3 we've found. Great local vibe!!

Brooks is my favorite spot for a delicious, hearty meal of generous portions for $20, hands down. This Spanish joint is super low key with a bat and a full kitchen where pure magic happens. The menu varies daily but they always have my favorite: the salmon plate with a giant piece of salmon on a bed of rice topped with grilled onions and peppers. This is usually accompanied by a side of fried plantains and baked mac and cheese with a side bowl of the most flavorful beans you'll ever have in your life!If you're going to Magens Bay beach this spot is right on the way and around the corner from the beach, you absolutely MUST stop here!

Seriously, some of the best food on the island. I've never had sweet potatoes that good I'm my life! The stew beef was fall-apart tender: no fat, no gristle. It must have been braised for two days.Parking can be a bit precarious, but if you're looking for some good, home cooked food, this is the place. I would definitely come back!!!

Look past the atmosphere because the food is amazing!

Local Bar with amazing food, juke box, and pool table. The local food was amazing. We went here twice and had old wife fish, stewed chicken, stewed pork, ribs, conch, rice/beans, plantains, cole slaw, potato salad. It was all amazing. It was empty when we got there, but the parking lot was double parked when we left!

Very limited menu. Felt like we were sitting in a car port. My coworkers say the food is great. Didn't order so wouldn't know.

Food and drinks were amazing. Had the snapper and oxtail with sides and made ourselves overfull wanting to eat every last bit. Came here while on a cruise for our honeymoon. Wonderful suggestion from a local.

Nice local food but extremely slow!! Waited at least a half hour before we were greeted. Once the order was in, it was in excessive of an hour before the food came out. Services not good but food was ok. Steak was thick tender and juicy!!

Brooks was recommended to us by a local upon landing in St. Thomas. Sure glad we took his suggestion and had lunch here. Great food, large portions, generous drinks and great service.

The food was real good

The food was good. We had to wait for a while before it came out. It was worth the wait. Make sure you have cash they don't do credit or debit cards.

Good food at a great price

Food was awesome. Atmosphere is totally local, right down to the old guys playing dominos. Menu is on the board. Just pick your meat or fish, and the rest just comes with it. Snapper was delicious. Seasoned perfectly.

Talking about local food, this is where you want to be if you're in St Thomas. The food is amazing, everything is fresh and flavorful, I highly recommend it.

I give this place a 3 star due to its horrible service. Food took forever to be served and it took 40min just to get our check. On the plus side the food is very good. Understand this is a local scene so they may charge more for tourists. Expect to pay $20 per plate.

This is the best food I had on this island... Hands down. No chance someone cooks better than this woman on this island.

Conch plate was delicious

This is a hidden, locals only gem. We consider ourselves quite lucky to have stumbled across it. My man is word traveled, and I’m a down home girl. But if there’s one love language we both speak fluently, it’s food. We know all too well that a parking lot packed so full people can’t back out, and cars lining the road outside, is a sure sign of quality food on the inside! So we stopped and went in, disregarding the sign saying “feeding locals” and praying no one would notice how white I am. 🤣 The staff and customers made us feel like we were premier guests at their family Thanksgiving table. One local, Danny, bought out dinner and shared island secrets, and many locals (including our friend Mafia) bought us drinks. Very sweet people and the food WAS THE BEST FOOD ON THE ISLAND! Best salmon I’ve ever eaten.

Only a quick drive from Magen's Bay, Brooks Bar is a great place for local flare and a more traditional experience. We tasked ourselves with getting away from the resort and really immersing ourselves in "everyday experiences" while on St. Thomas this time. This meant visiting and patronizing local businesses and hidden gems. Brooks came highly acclaimed and referred by several of the local residents. It is an outside dining experience and you will be blown away by the presentation and bold flavors of the food! Note: The portions are hefty and hearty!

Service is not always consistent, but the food is excellent.

Maggie the server was nice. The food and drinks were good and large portions. The locals playing dominos are cool. That said, I do not reccomend and will not return due to the fact that they price gouge tourist/visitors. Two meals and two mixed drinks was $95. Served on the equivalent of a car port. No view, nothing to warrant those prices. There is no menu and no posted prices and they don't accept cards. We had $80 cash on us, not expecting to spend $50 there and had to go to the ATM for more cash. We will stick with the green house resturant!

Haven’t even left the restaurant yet! It’s that good!! The real deal for local food, local ambience, local drinks, and esp local hospitality. A real treat and a beautiful place with beautiful people. The perfect way to end a day on the island.

Best steak, hands down.

If your any where near Megan's bay the food at Brooks is the best on the island. We were only there 3 days but ate there twice.

Maggie is absolutely great. Delicious food. Cool vibes. Good atmosphere. Great prices.
